BMX - V-brakes and cameras

Ok I have 2 questions...

My first question is: what would I need to run v-brakes on my fork? From what I understand, I would need a v-brake plate, the brake itself (with pads), a cable, and a linear pull lever. Anything else? I would really like some nice v-brakes on my fork because I like having good front brakes. If v-brakes are out of the question, would evolvers be good?

My second question is: what would I need to film so basic vids and edit them with music and cool effects? My friends and I made some vids and had a great time. They were shot on a cheap camcorder and we couldn't edit them :( I was looking at some MiniDV comcorders around $350, but I have no clue about what to look for in a camcorder, nor do I know what to look for in video editing software.

Mounting linear pull brakes to the front of a BMX bike is going to be far more trouble than it's worth...you're going to have a tough time finding a BMX fork with cantilever mounts (if you can find one at all) and plates are just a nightmare...they walk, they flex and there's not much you can do about it, so the additional braking power would just be lost.

Any mid to high-end U-brake is going to be plenty sticky enough to toss you over the bars if it's mounted directly to a compatible fork and set up properly, with decent pads.
