Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Craigslist/eBay part 3. DON'T POST YOUR STUFF FOR SALE IN THIS THREAD!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Ok,
I got tired of seeing 105 pages of this.
For now I have closed the previous thread, and unstuck it.
I am opening this one (although I do think it should die an ignoble death)
so y'all can continue to post interesting stuff that you found on e-bay, CL etc.

excessive B*tching and moaning will further pissmeoff, resulting in closed thread
finito, finished, kaput, it is an ex thread. . .

marty

P.S.- In addition to Marty's remarks, see the amendment to this post!

Ok, here's the official word... DON'T POST YOUR STUFF FOR SALE IN THIS THREAD.

So if it's not clear from before, it's clear now. If I (or other mods) see stuff for sale in this thread, we reserve the right to trash the thread. So (not saying ZappCatt or anyone else in general is doing it at this time either) everyone's best bet when it comes to this thread is to post things you find around the internet, but don't post your stuff. Don't "help out a friend" by posting their stuff. If you run across something on a website, this is where you'd post it. That's about the only stuff you should see in this thread.

I hope that clarifies.

I had a Kuwahara Magician Pro (http://www.dreamgate.ne.jp/kuwahara/riders/slobodan.jpg) in the 80s with a yellow-and-gold-on-black splatter paint job and a dual top tube... so sick. A lot of why I like modern Japanese bikes, I guess... that Makino with the splatter job that someone here owns (sorry, don't remember your handle, just the Mapei hat in the avatar and the bike ;) really brings back memories.

The frame looks really sweet, but I think I'm more irritated by the huge amount of space in the background behind you.

yeah, we love our studio and it's definitely one of the perks of life in chicago. but we're still considered the "2nd city" next to NY...

at the risk of more fist shaking, here's a shot from our space, looking down on the 2nd floor..

The thread has been split again, and the old posts are under its title, but locked. So you can still view older posts if you want.

A reminder- this is not the "I want to sell my stuff" thread, nor is it the "my buddy is selling his bike/accessories/etc. thread, so check this out thread". So far, it's been pretty good, but just a few slip ups here and there. If your buddy is selling something and they want to showcase it on the forums, they're welcome to join and donate, then they can post in the marketplace forum. Of course, if you are already a donating member, feel free to use the Marketplace to place your ads.

I KNOW you guys don't want me in here any more than I want to be here... so keep up what you've been doing, and there won't be any issues.

Thanks.

The Gucci would probably sell at the BIN price if it were Keirin. It seems that the craze for Italian track frames has cooled a bit with the onset of cold nights and full-blown obsession with Japanese steel.

It's still overpriced. It's a used frame fer cryin out loud. A good used frame, yes, but just a used frame.

BT, sell me all your used frames for a dollar, even if it was ridden for one day.

The reason that Keirin frames are up because we caused it to go up.

That is good that Italian frames are going down so when I do a restock I can now get a good price.

I'm still waiting for a cheap Pogliaghi ;) I'd trade a 3Rensho road frame for one, easily (obviously not a 1-to-1 trade, but that's the calculus i'm using as to how nice it'd be to have one ;))
