Bought a pista and got a 52cm, I ride a Trek 5200, it's a 52cm and fits fine. Just didnt know if maybe I should have bought a smaller pista, it's my first fixed gear and the guys at the LBS dont really like fixed and seemed neutral in their responses to my questions, they were no help. Feels like I do when Im on the road bike but a bit more up right. I have seen pictures of guys on fixed gear bikes and they look small to me for the ridder compared to a road bike. thanks......
Did you buy a 05 pista? They don't come in 52 - they come in 53, which means it's 1cm bigger than your road bike. The size you ride on your road bike is the same as your track bike. If anything, top tube length matters the most.
The Pista comes in a 51cm too, which is the next size down.

apparently it's cool to buy track bikes that are too small for you, so don't learn too much from the pictures you see

Your right, it is 53 and it is longer. Well maybe I can get a shorter stem? Dosen't seem large when I ride it though. Still trying to getting use this bike, so different; seems like learning to ride a bike all over again but I really like it.
A shorter stem will work. The 53 might actually feel more comfortable as well.
