I remember reading the original story and a few things crossed my mind.

1. This woman had cycled all over the world on this bike and she didn't have a lock :confused:
2. Apart from cycle shops, I can't think of another instance where you'd take a bike INSIDE a shop :confused:
3. How could you manage all the parcticalities of global cycle touring, but still be such a dippy hippy :confused:

I sure was a tough break for her, and with a bit of luck the purchaser might come back.

This story appeared in the local paper here in Anchorage. She's a fellow Alaskan who was travelling in some circus and used the bike for transportation.
