Certainly the more recent Peugeot badged bikes have been produced in Taiwan (not that there's anything wrong with Taiwanese production - most bike manufactures including Trek, Giant, Specialized use Taiwan for at least some of their production).

Not implying anywrong with Taiwan built frames, as there is some good stuff. Even the Peugeots that came out of France with post 1985 shimano index shifting were pretty sorry.The French built Versailles,of tig welded magnaloy I have is pretty worthless.

Anything with 2 wheels and pedals is better than nothing.Just dont go crazy pumping money into upgrades,or pay alot.Clean it it and enjoy.There can be a lot of decent miles in even the low end stuff.
