Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I've been cycling for a while, but am new to classic bikes. I bought this one off a friend to fix up for my sister to ride in the MS 150 here in NC. I wasn't impressed at first, but after cleaning it, giving it new tires and handlebar tape, I'm very impressed with the way it looks. I know nothing about this bike or when it was made. Can anyone ID it for me?

Mid Eighties, possibly/probably late 80's based upon the pedals.
Check the serial number on the BB - there's a pretty obvious "code" that should tell you the year of manufacture.
If I can find the "decoder" I will post it here, but I probably found it here, so you might do a search.
Nice BIKE! Treat 'er well.
