Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Thinking back, I remember someone posting that whey protein is a more complete protein than soy. My questions are... is that right? And does whey protein come in pre-made, single serving shake form?

Whey certainly has a much better amino acid profile and bioavailability rating than soy protein does. Your body digests rapidly, faster than any other protein source, so it's great for a post-workout recovery drink. You can buy it in packets, but it's cheaper to buy a big bag or container and just scoop out the amount you want (the scoops are almost always included.)
Best deal I've found on whey protein is at CostCo. They sell a 6 lb container in vanilla or chocolate flavor for around $20 (a whole lot less than GNC!).

i started to use whey protein. I noticed i am less hungry between meals and i am stronger on my rides; average length 25 miles. I am riding a century next week and will see how i do.
