Advocacy & Safety - I'm now an official Bike Advocate!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was just hired by Santa Cruz's very own People Power! as an intern! I'll be making/taking calls regarding local improvements concerning pro-"non-car" transportation. It's a light job (about 5 hours a week), but I hope it'll have a strong impact on the community.

Our communities need all the young and passionate volunteers they can handle.
It's one thing to 'talk the talk' - you are now one of the few who actually 'walk the walk'.
Hoorah for el twe!

You guys over here are awesome! It's so refreshing after lurking around the SS/FG forums. So, I logged my first 2 hours folding the newsletter and getting to know the other workers. My main task is organizing Bike to School day at my high school on October 6. That oughta be fun.
