that's awesome. wish i had hit up that place while i was there.

ps. king tut was cool, but they wouldn't let his sarcofagi (sp?) out of Egypt apparently. Hence no golden cases and mummy. oh well. still pretty dope.

i saw a great documentary on artifact smuggling from egypt.. these british dudes would get all tricky covering the artifacts with plaster and making them look like tacky tourist schwag... but they had it down to do it and make it all removable

the tie in to that was... they talked alot about how egypt let too much stuff slip out of the country.. so now its all on lockdown.. which makes for no golden cases for us to see

The C&V forum has a sticky called "catch of the day". I would post this over there - might go for catch of the year ;).

You should keep the handle bars backwards and start a new trend.

maybe not.. you might not have any middle age producers with way too much income go on a health kick for a week circa '89... then shove the bike in their mansion garage until their kids clean it out in '05 after they die from the extra 40lbs of steak dinners theyve been carrying for the past 30 years

i saw one of these guys buy my dream Seven without blinking one day... i wonder if that will be in the thrift store in 2030.

what components are on that? super score of the year.

i always rummage through every estate sale / thrift store / garage sale waiting to uncover that hidden chesini or masi that the old rich guy never touched.

I stopped in a Pawn America a month ago, just for the hell of it, and they were selling boat anchor 70 lb old steel Treks and low-end Schwinns with low end parts for $400. I'm guessing they don't fly out the door at those prices.

Aye Carumba! As a guy who owns and loves a Ciocc, that is the best deal I have heard of on these forums. Definetely post this in the Classic/Vintage forum thread "Catch of the Day", those guys will flip! Please honour us with more photos too please :) :P
