How many people have had items unavailable during the sale and then show up online 1 or 2 days after the sale. For example, I was going to purchase some Speedplay X/5 pedals during the recent 20% off sale. I looked the first day of the sale at work and they had the something like 8 to 10 varieties of Speedplay pedals. I went online at home that night to place my order and not a single Speedplay was listed. I phoned Nashbar and was told they must have sold out of them. I looked today, 2 days after the sale ended and all the pedals are available again. A similar thing happened a few weeks back when I was looking for a floor pump. I don't place orders from work because it is a very public computer and I just don't feel comfortable with it. I should have called in the order but I didn't think of that at the time.

Maybe I am just paranoid but it seems a little fishy when items disappear during sales and reappear immediately after the sale. I could understand more if a couple of the Pedals were sold out but it seems strange that all the Speedplay pedals sold out and now all the pedals are available again. Great timing. For me it has moved Bike Nashbar down to the bottom of the list next to Performance Bicycles as far as ordering anything bike related.

I was gonna buy the Cannondale jerseys that is on the front page for $19.95, put it in the cart and kept shopping. 10 min later, i notice the price in the cart is 49.95 for the jersey. LOL, nice.

Just a reminder, for any new readers, Nashbar will honor any of their catalog prices even if they are higher on the web. It doesn't happen that often but knowing this has saved me more than a few dollars. You just need to call in the order; they say catalogs are good for about 20-30 days.

Nah whole site is down. I ordered some stuff earlier and i haven't even received my confirmation email yet.

*******s.. not only did they not notify me that one of my jersey wasnt in stock before they shipped out my 3 pairs of socks (tossed in extra) but they charged my card more than what was on the invoice. Lady i talked to from customer service didnt seem to give a **** either and was like "that order has been confirmed and shipped already so there's nothing we can do"

well, took advantage of the nashbar 20% off on Friday, and got a confirmation today that they had shipped my order, but I had 2 problems

They didn't ship one of the jersey's because it was discontinued and they charged me for it, but were willing to refund the money.

Second they shipped to an old address where I had been on a business trip (denver for 3 months).

They would not stop the shippment and I have no clue how they shipped to that address, since I said to ship to my billing address. They will only refund me my money when they get the package back even though it was their fault in shipping to the wrong address.

Quick call to the credit card and I have placed a hold on the funds and when friday rolls around the Chase (my cc company) will be refunding my money. called the hotel in Denver that it was shipped to and told them the story and they will be rejecting the incoming items and returning to Nashbar.

Without a long story, I completely agree.
I get there coupon codes in my email and post them here just so people can get a better price if they do decide to give "Crapbar" their business. They treated me well before, but after being jerked around more than once...

NOGAS is still working.

I placed an order on the 27 with w247 and it worked. Never got a shipping confirmation and called them, they said it was suppose to be here today (the 5) but didnt say who it shipped with. When I mentioned that I never got a shipping conformation they said "Ya, they have been having problems with that"
Does nashbar not have their own phone operators or are they referring to the shipping department. I don't think I'll be buying from them anymore. Only reason I did now i because they had the 56cm Moustache Bars I wanted.

I experienced something similar to this just a few days ago. I was looking for a frame in a certain size and all they had it listed as was in extra small. So, I e-mailed Nashbar to ask if they planned on carrying this frame in the other sizes and they responded the next day saying in so many words, "I don't know what you're talking about. Our web site shows all sizes in stock."

Went to the web site and sure enough, all the sizes were now listed in the drop down when they weren't just the day before.

that's a pretty amazing story... unbelievable that a company would do this and not care about a returning customer... i have not had a bad experience per se, but i have found that nashbar now engages in what i consider unethical pricing...

for example, its lumbar pack is priced at $29.99 during coupon/sale periods, but then nominally reverts to $9.99 when the coupon/sale ends... (fortunately i acquired mine when someone forgot to 'up' the price during a recent sale)... this process is repeated for many products...

if this is the future of Web ordering i guess i'll have to be a much more educated and price-conscious consumer...

and i really like how nashbar dropped its $4.99 bento stem box and how the exact same product is now available from performance for $14.99 (now on sale for *only* $13.98)...

Tried W251 on Monday and it worked.

HOWEVER,

Their customer service has been less than stellar. I'm not going to berate them with some long story, but I will say this: I like Nashbar. I think their website is a great reference when I'm looking for stuff or daydreaming, but it's going to take a complete revamping of their customer service practices before I patronize them again.

Again, I like Nashbar, so I really hope that they turn this around. Until then, my money is going elsewhere.

I got the Ultegra shifters for $120 by adding another $50 of stuff to the cart and then using the 20% off code.

The right lever should be no difference from the double brifters, but how does the left brifter work with a double crankset? Also who actually has this working? I'm not trying to be critical, just get the info on how doable it is?
