As others have reported, Nashbar is trying to screw me on their free shipping promotion. The receipt says one price, but they charged another to my credit card (and no I'm not confusing the authorization amount with the actual charge).

I had the same problem. I called and they took care of it, but they did have to re-charge me, which tied up extra money in my account while the other purchase was pending.

For those that went with Free Shipping through 6/11, check your credit card statements. I know of at least 2 people (myself included) that were invoiced for the correct amount, but were billed for the full amount with shipping. To make matters worse they're giving me the runaround over it. :(

It's something one would have missed if one didn't regularly scrutinize credit card bills. In addition, the overcharge caused me to incur finance charges.
Anyways, just a heads up. Seems they also occasionally screw up their "free" shipping. A pattern, perhaps. Never experienced it shopping at Buy.com or Amazon. This causes me to hesitate to do business at Nashbar and look for alternatives sites like Performancebike.com. Will report back on how Nashbar will handle this.

Looks like Nashbar and Performance are passing on any type of significant 4th of July sale. Nashbar isn't even offering any public percentage off, just a lame "up to 70% off" which is worthless. Oh well.

Twice in the last few months I've ordered things from Nashbar via the Web and was supposed to get free shipping. Twice when I get the invoice I've been charged.
Be careful to check your invoice when you use their coupons.
Also, Performance and Nashbar are the same company. Because they have Performance stores in Texas now, they charge state sales tax.
