ok... maybe to much?
Mines similar, i'll get pics later.
But mine also has a pack of latex gloves and another tube :)
All this is in my Arkel Bug. On the other side I carry a chain lock, plastic bags, and a bungee cord.

52 19-inch long pieces of DMM probe wire with ring lugs on one end, and a coil-winding machine. The coil-winding machine is very ugly and weighs about 10 lbs.
You had to ask, didn't you?

cabana 4 life,
You need a purse.
Just kidding.
Any chance you can leave the u-lock attached to the bike rack at work and maybe carry around a cable lock for those times you need to stop on the way to/from work? It'll shave off at least a pound or 2.
Why a tube and a patch kit. Have you really ever had more than 1 flat in a ride? Even if you did, couldn't you call for a ride home, or just walk the bike home? I know a patch kit is not much, but added up, it's like a lead weight.
That being said, my bike/fenders/rack/panniers/gear weighs in at 37 lbs. I'll shut up now.

Mine is probably around 45. Bike is supposed to be about 35 but I haven't weighed it. It's good resistance training.
Cabana do you really need to carry:
wrench
bolt and screw
full size tire pump instead of mini
otherwise doesn't seem like too heavy of stuff. I try to keep my bag between 5 and 7 lbs. No laptop so it's feasible. Lock is the heaviest item I carry.

I think you are right - you carry too much stuff.
I would show you what's in my bag, but I don't have a bag. I commute with my wallet, spare tube, etc. in my jersey pockets.

Doesn't anyone carry a change of clothes or at least an extra t-shirt.
Man you guys must : A) have a very short commute B) not sweat or, C) STANK!!
contents of my bag:
jeans or shorts and t-shirt
U lock
mini pump
spare tube
tire levers
alien multi tool
leatherman multi tool
mag light
point and shoot camera
clip on tail light
cell phone
daily planner
wallet
keys
cigarettes and lighter
lunch (sometimes)
32oz of liquid
11x14" portfolio (sometimes)
yeah i probably need a purse too, but I think the Chrome bag is more comfortable
my bag might be a bit heavy but i can lift my bike with pinky finger. I'd rather keep the weight comfortably on my body than ride something that looks like a bums shopping cart, with all those baskets and bags hanging off of it.
