OK, Call me a nerd geek whatever. I watch the Food Network. In fact I live off the food network. I probably can name a majority of the chefs on it. The one thing that pisses me off are the prissy soccer mom "chefs" that just DONT deserve to have a show.

For example:

The show "Good Food Fast with Family Circle" with ceci carmichael. She is a disgrace honestly. You deserve to write in a magazine. Stay in the magazine. You're shows suck, you cant cook. Get over it!

Next is Semi Homemade Cooking with Sandra lee. I have to say shes the next worse out of them. Shes a Martha Stuart wannabe on crack! Seriously. She just gah!

Next is Ina Garten. I have to say she is not that bad. I mean she has that degree of Martha Stuart-ness that slightly annoys me. But She can stay shes OJ.

Also (I know many people wont agree but) Emeril. I am starting to slowly dislike him. I mean I understand his his show is more entertainment that cooking. But I mean he never chops anything. i mean hes like we will add some of this, a little of this and some of this. All from bowls. But Like Ina He isn't that bad.

Now Chefs that need MORE air time are two of my favs. Jamie Oliver, and Mario Batali. I love Jaime Oliver. I mean his style, his food everything about him. hes the man, I became disappointed when they started to take him off. Mario Batali. That guy is the Fast talking Italian mad man! I think hes great and his style is just awesome.

Well thats my view on things in the Food Network Area. Please share your views.

I can't stand Jamie Oliver, though his show and cooking philosophy are fine. It's just that you can see him spraying spit everywhere when he talks, and he looks like a junior high punk brat. Not a good TV persona at all.

So go ride your bike. Seriously, if everyone rode their bike while these shows were on TV, they'd be history.

Rachael ain't bad at all, looks wise or cooking. She's just a bit too perky for me. Now Giada De Laurentiis she's hot and a good cook. I'd cook in her kitchen any day ;)

If you really want to learn from Emeril watch Essence of Emeril. If you want to be entertained watch Emeril live. He's got to watch it though he could over do himself and people will tire of him.

I dunno know. I've probably watched 15 minutes of The FN and that was last year during Christams. My dad said there used to be this really hot lady on the FN but she was letting the lbs add on quickly.

I turned my TV off 5 years ago and did not turn it back on again till WTC. It remained on for a few hours a day for a few months, while i was addicted to buffy and that show that came right after it on the WB. Now i usually only watch TV during christmas when I'm with other people and theyhave the TV on.

It seems like so many of the chefs are "filler", and follow a standard cooking show format that hardly varies.
I love Good Eats . Alton Brown and his group are funny, down-to-earth, and convey just a hell of a lot of information in an entertaining vehicle.

Wish Nigella Lawson was standard fare...

I like Anthony Bordain. His new show on the Travel Channel is pretty good. His old show on Food was pretty good too.

I dont go out of my way to watch Emeril.

Rachel Ray was enjoyable before she became a Hollywood sychopant. Still, here cookbooks have some good recipes in them.

Is it true that the survivng Fat Lady has a show now on Food.

I like Rachel Ray, the 30 minute meals, and $40 a day...but not so much the ones when she laughs like a silly school girls with actors and such. But I still like her.

And I love Alton Brown...he's so cool. And strangely enough...rather attractive to me ;)

I like Anthony Bordain. His new show on the Travel Channel is pretty good.

I like his schtick of going to funky places where the food is weird and wonderful, but he's another host who's way deficient in the personality department. Looks like he's been living in an alley for the last few years.

Anthony bordain. Well he had Spunk. Honestly he was a really cool guy, almost seemed on the opinated side. I'm not saying he is, but he just seems like that kind of guy. It was funny when he wsa in london the chef was like"It doesnt matter what we make, He'll eat anything"

trust me dude, you will flip your lid if you see Sakai cut an apple

he busted the move during an Iron Chef episode and the hosts were shocked, unreal

just think about that--one-handed rotation of the apple and cutting it super quick while rotating it--all with the same hand

he's a machine!

breaking bread with father dominick is pretty cool, but you might not get it (PBS program, might be local)
