I'm just getting into road biking - got the shorts, jersey and gloves. Have yet to move into clipless pedals.

Wondering if anyone can suggest a good pair of sunglasses that have interchangeable lenses so that I can put in clear lenses when I ride at night?

I don't want to spend too much $.....

Do they need to accept Rx inserts? I have Rudy Project Kerosenes and you can change out the lenses pretty easily but they are a little spendy. If you're not a prescription wearer then you may want to look at Smith Sliders. A few friends have them and are very happy with them.

Performance (http://www.performancebike.com) and Nashbar (http://www.nashbar.com) both have good deals on 3 lens glasses.
Here are a few examples.

I find riding at night worse than daytime, for bugs flying into your eyes. That is a pesky problem.. Hate it.. I have interchangeable clear lenses I bought from Performance, two sets -a pair marked Performance glasses and another Bolle Edge. Bolle Edge only comes in yellow. If you do not mind a jaundiced looking world they are great..
Need lenses that are wide or objects will fly into the eyes from the sides. I would never ride without eye protection. Regular street glasses just are ineffective..
