I like having a white line painted on the side of the road.

It shows me where to ride to avoid glass.

I was thinking this morning on the ride in to work, that Mondays are "three days worth of broken booze bottles to ride through!" I generally have to ride 2-3 feet to the left of the line to avoid the glass! ... but you are right, the white line is THE point of reference!

Sadly, most of my route doesn't have that line; but the Slime liners and kevlar-belted tires seem to do the job. :D

Why the hell can't people learn to use something as simple as a fscking trash receptacle?

The answer lies within the question. The people under discussion drink while driving and throw empty bottles from their car windows. They lack the basic intelligence quotient for learning.
