Recently purchased a Marin Sausalito from REI, and am currently outfitting it for commuting purposes--just in time for the Western Washington Monsoon season (hence, "WaRainRider").
I plan on riding the bus to work, and then a 14 mile ride home. Next spring, I plan on biking both ways. Need to work off the "twelve-pack" abs, and get my legs conditioned first.
Whatcom County and British Columbia are beautiful areas to ride, and I have no excuse for not using a bicycle. Riding in the rain is like hiking in the rain--it is all about attitude.
I am a volunteer FireFighter/EMT in a growing combination career/volunteer fire department, and enjoy dual-sport motorcycle riding and ATV quad riding.
