On an Trail Watch patrol this morning, I ran right over a broken beer bottle that had been dropped in the middle of the multi-use trail I was riding. The sun was low and bright and I totally missed seeing it before it was too late. I was running new Ritchey Tom Slick's on my old-but-trusty Cannondale MTB and suffered no flat and no tire cuts whatsoever. I was sure I would be fixing a flat at dawn, but my luck was better today. Thank you, Tom Slick.
