Mountain Biking - 2005 vs 2006 Specialized Rockhopper

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Does anyone have the specs for the '06 Rockhopper base model? Specialized's website isn't fully updated for '06 yet.
Specialized's website shows the '05 base model with a Deore RD. I went to the LBS and saw their '06 base model and remember seeing SRAM-SX or something like that on the RD.
Does anyone know if that's better than Deore?

hey dude im in same sitaution as you, i been lookin into the 06 with very limited info, as far as i can tell is the 06 is in red and black which i like better, the fork has a lockout which is a plus, even though no info on the j3, i hear its new name for the judy though, maybe? and the shifters are bottom of the line on sram website, and are same as ones on the 600$ hardrock comp, so im guessing they should be as good as deore maybe, i read a thread on mtbr, that they are upgradeing to x7 though for the rockhopper, i hope thats true..

I'm waiting on some Roubaix info.
Its a UK site so I don't know if the euro spec is different. Is there no US retailer with an online description.
