I've got someone who is willing to sell me a Giant Boulder SE shown in the picture below for 180 shipped to where I am. I have a Giant Rincon a while back, that got stolen, which from what I gather is a higher model than this one. I don't remember what was on my rincon that well, because I didn't research it all that much before I bought it....what do you folks think?

Is it worth buying this to screw around with, and upgrade as needed...or should I go ahead and buy a 300-400 dollar new bike to prevent risk of broken parts? I'm fairly mechanically adept and I'm willing to do whatever to it... I don't have many bike tools here in town though...

Getem' down to $150 and they can keep the box on the back.

It's a good bike for just general riding, light off-road, no big drops but with some semi-slicks also makes a nice commuter.
