I tried this on the road cycling forum and did not get any response. Hopefully you all can help.
Is the Flight Deck (mod 6502) odometer associated with a given bike number (1 through 4)? If it is, how do you reset the odometer for each bike after you replace the battery? For example, you have one bike No1 with 1000 miles, and bike No2 with 3100 miles. I only see one odometer number to set.

Try calling Shimano's tech service at 1-800-423-2420. If anyone will know they should.

Remember, Shimano's office is in Calif. so keep track of the time difference from your location.

Thanks for the number. I just made a call and got my answer straight away. Too bad it was the wrong answer. The meaning behind "different" bikes is that you have different wheel and gear setups. The number I'm looking for is a unique odometer reading for each bike. The SC-6502 does not support this. It's still a great bike computer, but I have to keep up with my own mileage for each bike.

Yeah, Cat-Eye has the same feature on most of their cyclometers. You can have two wheel size calibrations, say 700x23 tires and 26x 1.75 tires, for two different bikes and toggle between them but the odometer accumulates one total distance.

The only thing I know of to do what you want is a separate cyclometer on each bike. Cat-Eyes are cheap enough that this isn't a big cost issue but they don't do all the things a Flight Deck does.
