Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Sounds like you are really rough on the bike. I use the fsa and it was lasted almost 2 years. More than any other bb. I have one on all 3 of my bikes.
Chains I eat. I only buy cheap. sram pc69 I think.
thanks for the advice. i have snapped about 5 chains i ride the norco torrent im only 15yrs old. me and my mate both snapped our bottom brackes actually now thinking about it it was the platinum not the platinum pro. what bikes do you own. i am hoping to get a chain device soon what do you think the best one out there is. thanks

Ahhh you are riding a ht full time, I used to go through bb's every 7 or 8 months?...what is breaking in the bb? The axle or the bearings?
E13...noting else matters :)
the axle is snapping. what the e13 even better than the mrp or blackspire.

There is nothing that compares to an e13. I have used all three as well.
You might want to try the external bearing bb's fsa is making. The axle is larger making the system stronger

I was running through bottom brackets, but I had some super ****ty cartridge bearing bmx style cranks. I bought the race face evolve dh cranks with the external bearings. They are surpringly stiff and easy to install. I didn't think I would notice a stiffness increase. I haven't ridden them too much yet, since I tacoed my front wheel, so I can't tell you how the bearings are holding up, but I don't think I will regret this purchase. Oh and about the chain, I understand whipperman chains are the strongest, I'm thinking of getting the extra beefy single-speed one.
