At least the guy finally learned how to spell the word "pedal." It always bugs me when someone tries to define himself as a professional and yet has no knowledge of the specific vocabulary that is often seen within his profession. Ebay should come with a mandatory spellchecker...

That's funny. I have a similar SS project going and I almost bought that bike. I have resolved to use only parts I currently own (like the freewheel sitting idle on the other side of my flip-flop hub), or spend only what I can habitually gather in my change jar. So far, the total budget is $70. I think I will have to take advantage of the winter frame market.

Yeah we'll see what condition it's in when I get it. If I'm lucky the only real work will be in a crank and cog setup. Maybe change the front brake to a two-finger (my first fix, gonna want a brake for a while). It's going to be a town beater ride around the block cause I don't want to put on my clipless shoes bike, so I expect my largest expenditure to be the shipping ($57!). Anyone know where I can hunt down specs like seatpost diameter and such? And from I can tell, this will have a 120mm rear spacing, right?

That guy does charge a LOT for shipping. Seems to only use his 19 years experience to diagnose the bikes. Why doesn't he ever fix them?

Anyway, looks like a perfect example for your project. I'm not sure what the rear spacing will be, I've had them from that era be 122 to 126mm.
