This is my first project, so I'm still rather new, but would this Dura Ace 7701 crankset work for a fixed, or do you think the 172.5 may scrape on turns? I found 'em on ebay. Thanks.

Depends on your frame. If its a road conversion your BB may be low enough that youll have easy pedal strike. I have 172s on a track frame and they work fine for me. The center of my BB is only an inch and a half (or so) below my axles.

It's a Centurion road frame, size 53. and I assume I would be using the Shimano BB.
