Introductions - I just joined

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi, I live in the Rochester Hills, MI area and always looking for someone to ride with. I'm "old", but pretty fast for a girl already. I'm hooked and have already ridden 3,000 miles since the end of March (when I started riding seriously). Hello everyone. Also---does anyone know where I can learn more about bike maintenance near me? I can only change my tube at this point (and not very well either)

Welcome Michigandar
I am from Belding Michigan. I don't keep track of my mileage anymore but I have ridden a lot also.
I can't say too much about fixing them, I just ride them. hee hee....

Watch that language! I'm 60 and I'm not "old". ;)
To learn about bike maintenance go to http://www.parktool.com/clinics_training/parktoolschool.asp and scroll to the bottom of the page to find a bike shop in your area that is offering this program. I took it in Sept 2003 and learned quite a bit.
If there's no bike shop listed, the Park Tool website is loaded with great photos and repair information so you can learn a lot on your own.
