I am attempting to set up a routine maintained chart similar to those used for cars with key things to be done every X number of miles along the lines of: clean and lube chain every 250 miles, replace chain every 5000 miles, disassemble and lube headset every 7500 miles, rebuild hubs every 10,000 miles, etc. (please do not assume these are correct) :o
My first question is if anyone has anything similar to this they would like to share? Secondly, does anyone have any references or links they could share that will point me in the right direction?
I know opinions vary wildly on this stuff but something as a point of departure would be very helpful. There has to be some rules-of-thumb for preventative maintenance rather than just fixing stuff once it starts creaking, rattling, squeaking, etc.
I will be more than happy to compile a list and share whatever I end up with.
