Introductions - Hi from Va Beach
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi all. Been a recreational rider for awhile. Enjoy riding my MTB and my recumbent on the various paths and trails in the area. Planning on doing some touring in the near future, C&O, W&OD and Little Maimi Trail in OH. Hope to do a ride up from FL sometime in the not to distant future.

My girlfriend is actually from VA Beach and we visit her family there a few times a year. Nice city. Are there a lot of MTB trails there? I think I remember seeing one off of Shore Dr., but I can't remember.
Welcome to the forums!!!
There aren't any real trails in VA Beach.
SeaShore is not really a "bike trail" it's more of a get outside and ride at walking pace.
It's sort of scenic being on the beach......I don't ride there after a little girl swerved about 10' and ran right into me, by no means was this my fault, I was riding extremely slow & cautiously, but I still was the "monster on a mountain bike!" to the parents.
Years ago I rode a trail near Damneck, It was at least dirt, not really worth finding unless you live there.
Here are few good trails nearby....
Newport News: Harwood Mills - on Old Denbiegh Blvd
Behind RiverSide Hospital across from Mariners Museum has some trails that are re-opened after being restricted for many years.
Williamsburg: Waller Mill “dogwood trail” - take the camp perry exit
There are several trails near the college
York River State Park have a few trails that are very good!

My wife's favorite bike ride was along to board walk to one of the hotels where we would stop for a pancake breakfast. Welcome
