Hi,
While putting my rotors back on my wheels tonight, I stripped one of the torx bolts. I was able to get it off, so at least that's not a problem.

Are these bolts commonplace? Can I get a spare one at my lbs?

Yes, I'm sure your LBS would sell them, hell, maybe just give you one.

Some hardware stores carry them as well. You might have to do some calling around.

The shape of the tool (Torx) is not that important. What really counts is the thread size and fastener length. If you cannot find a Torx head fastener, an Allen head fastener will work too. My bike came with Hayes hydraulics and the fasterners were all Allen head (even though Hayes provides Torx heads with their disks.

Allen head fasteners are fairly common at local hardware stores (LHS). Torx heads are a little harder to find.

Also, make sure you put some thread locking compound on the fastener.
