Ok so I thought I would just make a thread where we all can share stories about our biking experiences. Im going to talk about my last one.

Me and my two buddies went up this place named montara mountain which is about 2500 elevation climb from sea level. Of course we all had a couple bails. On the way back we were going down a city street and me being a dumbass I turn back and start talking to my friend not watching whats in front of me. I crash at an angle into a car, I put a scratch starting from the back of the car to the front. Then I face plant the ground. I was in pain, some scratch and bruises but the main thing was I just had completely f*cked over someones car. So me and my friends sped off. I had planned on calling the people, but i could never find theyre number.

Imagine a river. Imagine a 3-4 metre deep river (9-12 foot, a bit more maybe). Now imagine me riding a rigid. Now imagine me hitting the slope at full speed and the lip on the other side shoots me up like a rocket. I wasn't expecting it, as I'd done it millions of times without getting air so I couldn't even put my feet back on the pedals. BANG, next thing I know, I'm on the floor, bleeding from my right elbow and right knee, and as I pull my short's "sleeve" further up, I find a gaping 2"x3" bleeding wound on my right upper leg where I was left with very little skin. I tried to get up but I realised I twisted my right ankle. Thankfully I was riding with my friend and I managed to get back to my house in one piece. By that time my shorts were half drenched in blood... Nasty. Anyway, off to the hospital, a week of healing needed for my ankle (I only twisted it slightly) and an unnamed amount for my 2"x3" wound. Anyway, now, 3 weeks later it's more or less healed (still a darker colour than my skin, I'm assuming it'll show for the rest of my life). Anyway, now it's all nice and dandy to think back and overall I could have been unluckier. (one thing that sucked hard was that the wound got infected slightly and I simply couldn't wear trousers cause they'd get stuck in the wound and all sorts of crap so I ran around at home half naked  ).

Well, that's my biking story to contribute to this thread (by the way, sorry about the delay on the writeup+pics of the summer but I'm having technical problems with the camera).

I did almost that exact same thing early this year! As I was going over backward in the air I remember thinking, 'I'm dead'. I landed flat on my back from about 12' up, perfectly on top of my full CamelBack which cushioned 90% of the blow. It was a miracle! :D
