General Cycling Discussion - Squeeky cleats

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I think I brought this up before but couldn't find the thread if I have done.
My Look cleats squeek / creak slightly when cycling, especially if wet.
Solutions anybody please?
Just put a little grease on the front and back of the cleat. That should do the trick. It always works for me. :)
I use Ivory soap, just rub the bar on the contact surfaces and the noise will be gone. The good part about the soap is if you go into a building with carpet floors you won't get grease all over everything. The other good thing is that soap doesn't pick up dirt like grease does.

Good call! I'm going to give that a go.
