ive been messing around on caloriesperhour.com but it turns out me upping my average speed is a double edged sword :-D their speed only goes up to 17.5 mph....so im curious as to waht calorie calculators you guys use. also, a few other questions. im getting much more serious about calorie intake, im trying to keep it lower calories with higher energy foods and just all around better foods. skim milk, rice, lean meats, vegetables and my favorite food of all time is fruit. ive also been juicing for my drinks for breakfast (when im able to get a decent one) and dinner. my question is where am i able to find nutrition guides to check calories for thinks like fresh fruit and veggies when i dont find that information at the store. thanks alot.

calorieking.com as a refenence tool or just google (calories in ******)

I have found calorie calculators for cycling are not very good due to many variables like road vs mtn, hill vs flat, etc. You can go 25mph downhill for an hour or 8mph up a steep hill for 10min and which is going to burn more calories?

I built a fairly comprehensive Calories and Watts Calculator (http://www.shastasoftware.com/CycliStats/caloriecalculator.htm) into my CycliStats (http://www.CycliStats.com) training diary software.

Of course, outside of a sports lab calorie estimates are just that...but, I think the one in CycliStats does a pretty good job of estimating calories burned and average watts compared to the "per hour" estimates.
