Alexi's right. If by inner vagina you mean my outer thigh and its oozing discoloration slowly spreading down my leg. Lumpy bruises rule!

In actual riding news, anybody want to take some scouting trips with me to area running tracks? I'm thinking about organizing a Ghettodrome Alleycat, but I want to include some places like Dorchester in the action. Maybe a good Sunday afternoon ride or something.

I'd also be down, but i'm going to be out till middle of next week. weekend after next?

i'll be in nyc all weekend

Well, there'll be more than one scouting ride. I'll be in Austin next weekend, but I plan to do at least a little riding on Sunday maybe.

Are there going to be any random alleycats (or related events) for the Boston Bike Festival, March 10-12th? I'm pretty sure there were some last year.

Those are the magic words I've been waiting for...hopefully it will stop being ass cold sometime soon.

I'll be racing pretty much every weekend for the next 2 months with our team, but hell, if it's on a weeknight, I'm in.

those are the magic words i've been not so waiting for as I'll be off of a bike (except maybe in a gym) for the next 2 months.

I have a gig (http://www.myspace.com/hallelujahthehills) tonight, so I won't be out for the ride. You guys should still go, though. Might I suggest a final destination (http://www.lizardloungeclub.com/main.html)?

Did anyone actually ride last week? More importantly, who's up for the TNBR this week? It might snow.

I'll be there.

Hopefully, with some new chainring bolts to replace the two which stripped and fell out.

I got run off the road this morning on a training ride with Jeff and hurt my rib. So I won't be out tonight. Jeff has 12 stitches in his face from a different fall on the same ride. Moral of the story: don't take training rides through Newton.

-good to see new folks coming out. have fun with the bike build.

folks need to stop crashing and being hit by cars. it's rapidly depleting the small pool of people willing to go on these rides.

On a different subject for a moment: a friend of mine from Ohio (he's zempf on this board) is coming to visit next weekend. He'd rather avoid the hassle of flying his bike into Providence and up on Amtrak, so I was wondering if anyone has a bike he could borrow for a few days. Somewhere in the 54-56 range.

I do since I won't be on my bike for a while, but he'll have to supply his own pedals and he should be pretty able and confident on a bike without brakes. But if you feel he's a good rider than it's fine with me. I am talking about my vitali of course. I'll be back in town on saturday so give me a call saturday afternoon, I should be home around noon. I saw my ortho today and went to my first physical therapy session. Appearently durring surgery they found out my shoulder was in worse shape than they thought, so now I can't get on a bike for about 3 months... this really ****ing sucks.

Short and sweet. We just went up to the roof of the Tufts library for an awesome view of Boston. Then, since everybody on the ride lived in that general area, people split off shortly thereafter. Next week I'd like to do a long ride.

Ride tomorrow night, leaving at 10pm from the pit in Harvard Square, next to Out Of Town News. A friend is visiting from Ohio, so I want this to be a good ride. I was thinking about going down to the Marine Industrial Park in South Boston for starters.

I'll be out on Friday. I just got back into the saddle today after being out for over a year (moved back to Western MA after graduating). I would join up tonight but I work till 10 over by Longwood.

Anyone interested in doing any morning activity (coffee ride) during the week? I don't work till 2pm so I'm free before that.

not to sound like a nancy but do you guys always start so late on weeknights? man, i gotta work in the mornings. how long do you usually ride for?

rutt
03-28-06, 05:06 PM
Yeah, the Tuesday night ride is meant to be a regular late-night ride. And, not to make you sound like a nancy, sometimes I have to be at work at 6:15 the next day. :) How long we ride totally depends on the group and the night. Sometimes it's just half-an-hour to a bar, sometimes it's closer to two hours out to East Boston or JP with some quality hanging-out time.

this (http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=89447) is what i rode last night, starting from harvard square. good times were had. do i have the details right through downtown and in the park? i think its fairly accurate anyway

and... i love my new bike. =D

Looks like a good ride, wish I could have joined up.
Once summer semester starts at the school I work at my schedule will change and I'll be able to join up.

See everyone friday - even though I have no clue who anyone is.

rutt
03-29-06, 12:11 PM
Pretty close. We actually took the Summer St bridge out of downtown, and Melcher Rd to A St instead of the South Boston Bypass. I'm not sure whether we were on Broadway or 4th St under I-93. But the spirit's there. :)

okay so friday is supposed to be superduperfantastic sunny and stuff. i don't have to work. therefore, if anyone wants to ride..... critical mass is at 530 as well. still on the fence about that, but i want to ride. rob has yet to get back to me about morning rides... *cough cough* maybe i can publicly shame him to get him to go. ;-)

I also work evenings in the Longwood area at BWH. That is until next Thursday, when I start a new job in Wellesley. I'd be down for a morning ride, as I can't make any weekday evening rides.

Friday is my day off, I'm game. I'm still feeling my way around Somerville/Cambridge though as I'm new to this side of the Charles.

Wish I saw this yesterday as its great outside today... I'm in the Prospect Hill neighborhood of Somerville, which is adjacent to the McGrath (sic?) Highway. Like I stated above, I'm still getting used to being back in the city, so just recommend something. Weekends are no go for me as I work an almost normal shift on Saturday and Sunday.

If anybody can ride one-armed through a throng of unsteady amateurs, it's you, Henry. I'll ride for a little bit but I'm supposed to meet co-workers at 6:30 in central square. Whenever you get better, let's take some fast rides!

giessel
03-30-06, 10:36 PM
so you guys want to meet up someplace around like 4:30 and ride around before CM (@5:30 right?)? or do you want to ride earlier in the day? having never done cm i'd like to try it at least once + it should be an awesome day for it
