Rides and Races - Boston rides

i'm 100 percent definitely coming out for the evacuate boston race next saturday, i'm looking forward to hopefully meeting a lot of you!

it looks like sunday afternoon is going to be best for this, so I'm thinking around 3 or 4? either of those make any difference for people (I can't go any earlier than 3 because of work)?
there is a big oktober fest celebration going on tommorow in Harvard Sq, anyone wanna meet or end there for some good ol germen beer and bwatwursts?

How long you look'n to ride? we could start at 3 and ride for an hour too an hour and a half and that way you could work and ride... or we could start earlier if you wanna ride more.

From what I hear the crafts and shows etc end at around 6ish but then you can eat/drink on into the night at the spots around there.. So if we want brwats I thing we need be there buy 5:30

I'm in the cambridge/somerville area so I prefer to start somewhere around Inman Sq. or Porter Sq. or harvard Sq. but I'm pretty easy

3 sounds good, if you want to meet in cambridge, and work actually goes till 3 (which I doubt), 3:15 ish will be more like it, since I'm coming from the huntington theater (corner of mass and huntington).

join us, this is not an exclusive thing here (it wouldn't be in an open forum if it was), as to the second part, i was thinking either by the fenway side T station (in front of all the stores and restaraunts) or by the parking lot on the other side, since those have plenty of side walk space so we don't clog up foot traffic while we wait.

We met at Kenmore (at the parking lot on Newbury) and went out the Arlington it was a pretty nice ride, I'm sorry if anyone wanted to come and the info wasn't clear. Hopefully we'll ride again soon, I know next weekend those of us who rode today will be at the Evacuate b-town Alleycat. Maybe one week night or the weekend after next we'll ride again.

Aw, cute. It's a type of lap race (um, not THAT kind of lap race), generally around city blocks. Short for "criterium." Laps are short, less than a mile, but there are many of them. In sanctioned races, the course is closed. In unsanctioned races, you race in traffic.

so it seems there are quite a few events coming up this weekend...midnight crit friday, alexi's 5:30 am Boston Common crit on Sat, and then the Sat afternoon "get the hell out of boston" alley cat.

question is: where is everyone going to go in between? especially between 2am and 5am on friday night...
(i guess we'll all be sleeping after breakfasting on saturday morning)

man, too much going on this weekend, gotta balance between a 12 hour work call sunday night, three races, and my schoolwork. it's gonna be fun.

just geared down my beater to 44 x 16 for winter. wheeeee....

i run similar gear inches (49/18) year round, yeah.

I basically need to latch on to a group of riders for the weekend.

friday night I might be looking for something. I have a project due on Monday I gotta pump out then post on a webpage I haven't made yet so I'll be kinda busy during the day Friday and up until the race on Saturday.

tonight, meet @ 10pm: the Christian Science Center fountain, leave once enough people are there to make it worthwhile.

race-wise I'm planning on doing the midnite crit and the evacuate boston race. 5:30am isn't going to happen as I'm not that motivated.
