It's in Lower Allston like... an 1/8th of a mile before you cross the river st bridge, the finish line of evacuate boston. I'd be down for a little of that ****. I get out of work at 6:30 on both days. What time were you thinkin'?

Are girls' rides going to continue after it's too cold to stand being outside? I fear I won't be able to make any until post-Thanksgiving, when I'm much more likely to be holed up inside.

Almay St (or Almy st) is spelled two different ways depending on the map your looking at! on google maps type in "almy st. boston ma" (or allston) and the closest result is in providence ri, type in "Almay st" and it takes you right there!.. On my Metro Boston map published by American Map in has Almy St. and no where is the index of streets is there an "Almay"... just thought I'd share this... I guess I'll findout tonight what the spelling on the street sign is...

Also regarding the providence race.. would any of you guys be willing to pay $10 as opposed to $5 in order to raise the extra dough to pay for having someone (myself) drive a pick-up(or element) to providence with tools and tubes etc.. if you guys are willing to pay the extra cash what I'll do is rent a Zipcar vehicle and grab some tubes/water and set up a midpoint stop and even needed you can call and I'm meet you along the route w/ tubes/tools if needed...

This is just and idea I came up with while drinking with those who showed up tonight.. let us know your opinions..

I like the idea of some type of get together before the larger one on sunday. Maybe do bike duels in Newbury St. alleys or crits around Quincy Market at night. Do some kind of group activity without straning the racers and riders for the big travel the next day.

so how was it folks??!! give us the full report!!

Ok so from what I heard:

The race will be a Nascar themed crit. This means you will have to do things like follow a "pace car", change a tire, do a lap of "footdown" and some other stuff.

Sorry I can't give you more info, but this is all I was told by Tyler Sage (winner of the halloween alleycat). I think he said he'd post more info here later.

So after seeing a bunch of listings on c-list for kids bikes up for sale, and remembering the thread about zoo-bombing a while back, who wants to have a mini-bike race? everybody digs up a kids bike of some sort, and we go out and make asses of ourselves. maybe do a crit, some sprints, stuff like that.

actually I stumbled across that map from some bakery near there while googling it.. so I linked that image from there website cus it was easier the doing the google maps thing... but if you want to google map it yourself, just use the cross streets.

plus now if you get the urge to feast on some baked good before the race you know where to go!
