Im having a real hard time geting my bike to go into 3rd on the front sproket. What could i do to get it to go in. Right now it takes about 100 yards of pushing my shifter and pedling. Any ideas
You push your shifter 100 yards? Mine barely budges an inch! Seriously, sounds like a simple adjustment. Assuming that the problem is recent, this could be due to cable stretch. Shift to the small ring, and make sure there's no slack in the cable. If there is, loosen the pinch bolt, and take out the slack, then tighten the cable. It could also be that the limit screw on the derailleur is not set properly, but it shouldn't change on its own. Let us know how you go.
