Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I helped out a LBS owner a few years back and he gave me an EQUIPTO shelve / rack set, the kind that bike shops use. This particular set was in the Schwinn catalog back in the day. I was wondering if there was any other EQUIPTO stuff out there in forum members’ hands. This is super heavy duty, adjustable shelving. The drawers fit into the shelving uprights, and have cool modular seperators.

Looks like this, same manufacturer:

Also I am interested in bike signs, neon and plain, and early 20th century original bike ads. I once saw a catalog from Lindberg bicycle works that was very art nuvo and some art deco cats as well. I am interested in early 20th century drawings of Mercury riding a bike, and women with long hair on bikes kind of thing. Not sure that I can afford to buy any, but would like to know how much original stuff of that sort is out there.

Actually I have this strange desire for nearly all women, but since I am married and monogomous I just have to deal with that. (old young big small hairy and not) As I suspect you know, I was talking about old catalogs-- you know original art like this:

I once saw this great collection on microfiche at the University of Florida's microforms. One of the catalogs had a woman that was more or less clothed with her long hair and on a bike.

I would not reject a turn of the 20th century image just because there was a man in it. In fact there was another really great image that had a man with a Mercury winged hat on the cover of another catalog.
