I just recently picked up a used Bianchi Boardwalk and it is in great shape mechanically. The only problem is some white paint on the maroon frame. After looking at it closely it looks like someone with white paint on their hands picked up the bike in a couple of places and left light hand prints. I'm guessing it might be latex paint, but obviously I don't know for certain. Anyone have any suggestions for getting the paint off? I don't want to damage the finish on the bike which otherwise appears to be in good shape.

Thanks for your help

I once had to clean spray paint off of my truck. Our whole neighborhood got it! I used acetone--it is a very strong solvent, but evaporates quickly. Try it on a small spot first, of course, to see how it affects the original finish. It took the spray paint off of my truck-didn't seem to bother the original paint. It evaporates very quickly, so I don't think it gets a chance to stay in the finish too long.

Get this stuff:

I find so many uses for it that I buy the big cans.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give them a try and see what happens.
