For my commute to lunch with my brother I was out on the Greenway, getting miles in before lunch and got behind a guy that was willing to let my suck his wheel, as well as take a turn pulling. We had a nice little train going, and were moving pretty fast. I enjoy that part of commuting, sharing the work with a fellow biker. We even had a chat about the trails and the rides we have done. We both enjoy those high mile rides. He confessed that he'd do more but for his wife. He isn't car free, but he was out riding.

Yes the ease of communicating with other bicyclists is great. The general easy access to others on the road in general is great. I gave a driver directions today and asked some peds for directions myself, another rider and i talked with other riders, it's so 19th century in the way George Carlin described baseball as being 19th century.
