Head warmth for Baldies :)

What do those who are thinning, or have shaved heads use in the winter under their helmets to keep the good ole nogan warm?

I use a balaclava. When it is not very cold I pull the face mask below my chin.

The balaclava is great for when it's colder, I use Louis Garneau stuff, nice and thin so it fits under your helmet, wicks moisture away and stay surprisingly warm.
I'm not completely bald, just thin in spots (that's what I keep telling myself!)

try under armour skull cap like they wear in the nfl, works great to about 35-40 degrees i think nike makes a simular type cap.

I use a very thin fleece skull cap type thing (not sure if it's technically a skull cap as it's large enough to cover the tops of my ears). I also tape over the vent holes on my helmet with duct tap when it gets colder (not real perty, buy it helps).

Thin merino wool skullcap here. Excellent temperature regulation even when wet - fleece gets soggy when wet. Got from a New Zealand snowboard supplier. No helmet, but the skull-stubble holds it on nicely.

Nike and PI make thin skull caps... both have ear flaps, I think. But having just discovered the joys of merino wool socks, I think it would make a great skull cap too.

As a baldy in the frozen hinterlands I'm something of a connesuer (sorry my french sux) of head coverings. My inventory:
UnderArmour skullcap: The headband is too thick and constrictive, otherwise an ok product. PI microsensor is good for that in-between where you need something, but not much. Covers ears and is freakin' great under a motorcycle helmet. Smartwool Beanie is my favorite. I've got two and slept in one last night. Just perfect in every respect except with helmets. Just OK then. Just got a Cannondale head cover which is like the PI with some more substantial fabric and windblock thrown in. Seems best for the bike, but haven't tried it. Regular wool caps from Filson and Yutte are also nice (have several), but too heavy for the bike. The polartech ones suck IMHO. The sweat just kinda clings to it without going anywhere. Ick.
