Anyone ride or own a Tommasini Sintesi road bike? My friend tells me to go with one outfitted with Ultegra and he states that it's the best bike for the $$$. Any comments??

I love the look of this bike! The chrome and lug work is just amazing. I believe Colorado Cyclist was pushing this bike for w/ full Ultegra this summer for ~$1600, sounds like a great deal to me.

Hard to beat if you like the lugged and brazed classic look.Never heard a bad work about Tommasini.Got an older one and it is great.

A nice frame indeed.

However Id go with Campagnolo Veloce or Centaur over the Ultegra.

I gotta agree with H20.1. Man, don't go putting no Japanese components on an Italian Columbus lugged steel frame. It's got to be Campy or nothin'. :)

With due respect for high end Shimano, I must concur with H20.1 and SteveE. A frame that sweet has to be built with full Campy.

It makes my mouth water.

Make it four.:D

That bike has to have Campy.

There's serious issues involved here....

Five... and not Record... as much as I love Record, this frame needs that classic Chorus gleam...

RESURRECTION TIME

I know its an old thread BUT I am thinking of buying the Sintesi Whistler Frame and building it up myself with full Ultegra (I would go with Campy if I could afford it!!)....the online retailer does do the same frame with Ultegra but I want to custom some of the parts on it, and I can do it for about the same price and have a wonderful time building my first bike!

I am just wondering if there are any new comments?
