I'm looking around for different pedals for the Rockhopper...I am currently running Shimano SPDs and they are fine but they are no good in muddy conditions...plus they are heavy. I saw the Xpedo M-Force Series pedals and the prices are pretty good, they are fairly light and look like they should be able to handle mud better than the SPDs. Eggbeaters are the other pedals I am considering but the Xpedo can use SPD cleats so I can use the same shoe for the MTB and the soon to be finished Major Jake.

Reviews on MTBR indicate that the Xpedo's have had a problem with the springs but I am assuming that may be resolved now.

Here are the pedals. (http://xpedo.com/pedals/mf.htm#)

Does anyone have any experience with or thoughts on these pedals?
