Hey guys i need some help. I have a ss mt bike and i am thinking about taking off the front brake and use just the back. Disc brakes. Most of the trails that i ride are flat but very rough. Any ss mt bikers out there just use your back brake or is it a safety issue. Let me know. And feel free to post your bikes.
Thanks
Chris

Dude bad idea. What is the reasoning behind that? Most of your stopping power comes from your front break. And unless you're a total weight weenie why drop either on an mtb?

if you do anything other than DJ or Street on your MTB forget about it. Your technical ability in the trails will suffer and youll end up skidding the woods to ****

Stick with the front brake. Skidding is the number 1 way trails are destroyed. Tread lightly.

Yeah, there are about a million reasons to keep the front brake on, and maybe two to take it off. Keep that brake on, and be safe.

I preferred when you were asking about a "front bike" - that question was easier for me.
