....is when I get to hop on my Kona "Jake" Cyclo Cross to commute to and from work. I live in Albuquerque NM and have a relatively car-free daily commute downtown to my job, about 4 miles one way. I'm hooked. Albuquerque also has a great climate for year round cycling. I carry paniers and a rear rack back... and wonder what else I could carry fully decked out? Next acquisition? Cargo trailer. Gas prices, health, the moment, the process and ritual of my bike are all reasons I commute by bike.

I'm looking forward to looking, learning, sharing, and expanding my cycling knowledge via this web site.

Mmmm - that's where they make the bubbly. Weird sprawling town, though.

Sprawling in some places, yes. But extremely ridable in many others. Miles of trails are added each year, and a progressive cycling advocacy community exists. Hundreds of miles of mtn bike trails within 20 miles of home.

I'm a newbie to the site, but not to cycling. Do folks generally list their bikes?

2005 Kona Cyclo Cross Jake
1998 Schwinn Moab HT MtnBike
1999 Dyno Cruiser (replica)
1992 Trek - first mtn. bike, converted to first commuting bike, now being overhauled (slowly)

thanks for repsonding to my first post

Check out Craig's list and eBay for used Burley trailers. I got one used 9 years ago. The kid's have outgrown it, but the groceries, etc. still fit. I won't give mine up, it's too useful. The kid's trailers carry more than cargo trailers because of the "head" space designed into them.
