Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Pink bar wrap? (Shameless aeshetic nitpicking)

The lady has wanted a fixed gear for while, so I'm rounding up parts.

I'm looking at a white frame and lots of pink. I have pink Deep-V's, I found some pink brake cable housing. I'm a bit stuck on the bar wrap.

Benotto has some hot pink wrap, but it's a plastic-y and the wrong shade of pink for the rims. Anybody know where to score wrap to match pink Deep V's? Anyone ever tried to dye white cotton bar wrap?

Oh, I've already thought of these http://sheldonbrown.com/harris/champ-grips/pages/ht539.html --they match but just won't work. She likes to ride her hoods so she's requested one real and one dummy lever, she'll need flexible wrap to work around the hoods.

I can hear Terror grumbling. Not to worry TIP, the deal is that I'm rounding up parts, but she has to do the assembly (except for the rear wheel build) and figure out correct chainline herself.

The Soma stuff isn't the right shade. I have hopes for Bontrager's, though I can't find a picture anywhere. Trek makes a pink ladies bike, and if the wrap is the same shade it's exactly what I'm looking for.

Pink keirin grips maybe?

Bontrager, as already mention makes some pink tape. Also a bonus becuase IMO, bontrager tape has the best feel and comfort.

My GF has the Bobtrager pink on her aero bars. If you can't find any suitable pictures or samples at bike shops, I could mail you a sample.

There's some neon pink Casiraghi vintage tape on ebay; I'm using the yellow version, and am reasonably happy with it - and neon rocks. It's the padded vinyl sort, with a line of tiny perforations down the center, if you remember that kind of tape... There are also some pink brake hoods up right now. They're not neon, though, so they won't match the tape if you go with the casiraghi ;)

That's a good way to do it, one theory I have heard many times is to match the logos/writing on your bike, this looks good.

Why not take some some white cloth bar tape, and throw it in the wash with a new red sock? It worked for all of [165]'s undies (he still swears they weren't pink when he bought them, I don't know if I'm buyin' though)

haha, I have that camo bar tape. I think it's ugly as hell but it's all they had and I'm very impatient so I bought it. Oh well, it's been two weeks and there's enough smog in this city that the tape is almost brown anyway..

i'm actually doing the same thing for my lady, picked up a old nishiki frame at a thrift store and painted it light pink with a darker rose on the lugs. i managed to find some perfect cateye cotton tape in pink on ebay-- but only one roll! hah.
