I have a pair of avid single digit Ti's (same as sd7 with ti mounting bolts) and the brake arms have an incerdible amount of play or slop at the pivot.
The right side has more slop than the other. At the end of the arms i can move them 3mm or so.

Is there anyway to remove the slop? I can see a gap at the pivot but it looks like theres no way to tighten up the pivot.

It makes my bike rattle like a b**** when riding over bumpy ground.

Yes, run down to your LBS and ask 'em for some shims. Common problem, better to make the bosses just slightly too long than too short (which would make your brake arm just not pivot at all).
