I am thinking about getting a tattoo on my ankle or calf. Something small and MTB related. I would love to hear ideas, things you've seen or pics of tattoos.

Thanks

Start riding at a steady pace with your chain in the middle or small chainring. Lock up the front brake, to the point where the rear tire comes up! Step off your pedals and let the bike come down and have the chainring slam into your right calf. The gouges that are left are a beautiful and natural tattoo.

Another similar method is to jump you bike, take your feet off in mid-air, try to put them back on the pedals, miss and let the pedal smack your shin, (shorts and no pads of course!)

You'll have matching tattoos front and back. And they're FREE!

Well, that's how I got mine anyways!

If you don't like those suggestions, check out a current issue of DirtRag. There is an article from the Grandaughter of Phil Wood with a spectacular tat in honor of Grandaddy!

A solitary calf tat will single you out as a poo-ssay. I say go for a serious piece of art on your back...like a huge, beautiful, androgynous angel holding a Marzocchi fork.

THAT would be HARD.

I have chainring art too. Mine came from a broken petal. My leg bent back and the chainring rode up my right calf.

Best part......it was free
