I've googled online bike sales, and I the only ones I have found w/ Specialized or Kona or Cannondale, etc are in Europe. In fact the bike I was originally looking for, an '05 Kona Caldera, is available in Europe. I obviously would rather buy in the US and am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction.

Gracias

Thanks Revmonkey, I'll check there...

I am back to there being no US online bike dealers that have Kona or Specialized.

If a store is caught selling new Giant, Specialized, Trek, Cannondale, etc the manufacturer will pull the line from the shop. A lot of the lines are to be sold at actual "brick and mortar" shops only.

I found that out just a little bit ago...Went to website from a shop in CA that had the bike/ bikes I am interested in for a resonable price, but the disclaimer was "...we hope you live close, because we can't ship them due a an agreement w/ the manufacturer..."

So looks like I'm using the LBS that won't negotiate, or EBay (which scares me...though I did actually by my car on EBay, and that went fine)...guess I'll keep at it...

Thanks for the help out there....

Isn't there another LBS reasonably close that will negotiate? If you find a good price on the bike you want, the LBS should at least halfway match the price (meet you in the middle or something). My LBS here in MN matched a price from a store in Chicago (Kozy's).
Good Luck
