Bicycle Mechanics - Disc Brakes and Cro-Mo Fork Flex- Is this normal?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I just noticed that my fork flexes inward when I brake on my newish bike. The fork is a 700c Kona Project Two Disc Fork (Cro-Mo) on a Kona Sutra frame with Avid BB7 brakes. Is this normal or safe?
About a week ago I crashed hard enough to nearly taco a new Salsa Delgado rim. I didn't notice the fork flex before the crash, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't happening before the crash. Thanks.

If the fork still has the V/Canti bosses, put stiffner or bridge on and bolt it down tight. Your forks shouldn't flex much then.

If the fork has disc bosses it should not be able to flex beyond tolerances. A rigid fork will always have a certain ammount of "give" in order to absorb road vibration.
