Introductions - Pennsylvania here...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi all, happy to have found these forums! I bought a used mountain bike almost five years ago in the hopes of starting a fitness routine. It didn't quite work, but after joining a gym I found that cycling is a great crosstraining strategy. I just bought a Raleigh Passage 4.0 hybrid, and plan to wear the tires bare on the great rail-trails that western Pennsylvania is becoming known for. You'll probably see my posts asking for newbie help all over the place. ;)

Hi, and welcome from a fellow Pennsylvanian. Yes we do have some great rail-trails on this side of the state. Ohio, and West Virginia offer some nice close by options for me to visit as well. I hope you enjoy the forums. There's a lot of good people, with all kinds of advice.
See ya' on your pedals,

Hello to my fellow western PA cyclists. I ride road and rail trails. I guess that makes me a cycling "****" :)

:D I'm with you on that Germ. I road ride a lot more often than the R-T's, but I still like to use them for recovery rides. That, and some days I just don't feel like doing any climbs

:) Thanks for the friendly western PA welcome! I'm already learning lots about my new passion. I guess I like the rail-trails because they're closer to what I was used to growing up in flat South Jersey many years ago. :)
