Recumbent - Actionbent Tadpole?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hello everyone,
I've been researching recumbent trikes, but there aren't many around to test-ride in my area. The only one I've been on was the Greenspeed GT5 (which I loved, but the price was a little high for my budget). I'm impressed with what I've read about the Actionbent Tadpole, but haven't been anywhere near one in real life.
It sounds like there's a lot of cumulative experience here. Does anyone have any experience/wisdom with this trike?
I'll probably buy one... someday. The budget doesn't allow for it right now though.
Maybe you could email them, and ask them to put you in touch with an owner in your area.
I've got about half the cash for it now. They sound great, and I can't find anything negative about them, but I keep waiting for someone to point out some major flaw.
Well, it could be 5 pounds lighter. But in the long run, 5 pounds isn't really that much. I can lose or gain that much weight in a week.
You should find some owners at the bentrideroline.com forums

I would probably be turned off by the seat. When I ride, I ride a long time. So a very comfortable seat is a must.

The seat looks comfy enough. The review just mentions that it's sweatier than a sling-type seat.
If I find that a person with a 49 - 50" x-seam can fit the AB Tadpole, I'm planning on buying two of them. ;) One for me and one for my wife. :D
Hey, I don't want to end up riding around on the darn thing alone, do I?
