Can v-brakes be used on a carbon fork with no brake bosses? IE can bosses be attached? Is there some sort of part I can buy to do this job?

Just drill holes into the fork legs and tap the holes with the appropriate taps for the threads on a standard brake boss. :D

NO, You would seriously weaken the fork by drilling it like was suggested earlier. Carbon fiber is brittle enough without causing stress points by drilling. When the fork leg lets go suddenly you'll see the folly in that move. The problem is you won't be alive to learn from that mistake.

Try selling your fork and buying a new fork with V/Canti mounts. Nashbar always has cyclocross forks in carbon and aluminum for sale.

The steel fork at $49 is a steel, pun intended.

Fortunately, jur got the joke which will keep seely out of court. :)

And, the real answer, of course, is a resounding NO!

Woundup and a couple of others do make carbon forks with cani/V-brake bosses but you can't retrofit them to existing forks.

You'll have to buy one with the bossed designed into them. Nashbar has one for $150, Colorado sells a Winwood for $250 I think.
